Coffee Rehabilitation Loan
WPS in partnership with the government brings to its members, through the Coffee Development fund, The Coffee Rehabilitation Loan
This is a medium term credit facility provided by the Coffee Development Fund (Codf) to the coffee growers through Intermediaries or directly for the purpose of rehabilitating coffee trees. The facility is aimed at the trees with productivity of at least 1.0 Kg of cherry per annum; where improved production requires relatively more effort in terms of crop husbandry.

1. Development loans
This is a loan given for farm projects e.g building a dairy unit, poultry unit among others
Features
- One has to own tea and/or coffee
- Salaried employees whose earning are channeled through the Sacco
- One has to be a shareholder
- Two year loan repaid monthly at affordable interest rates
- Cheap loan repaid at affordable interest rates
- Members able to complete farm projects
2. Crop advance
This is a loan advance for farm inputs
Features
- One year loan
- Affordable interest rate
- One has to be a member
- One has to own tea and/or coffee plantations
- Crop payments have to be processed through the sacco
- Members are able to purchase farm inputs in good time, e.g. fertilizer, seedlings, etc
- Relatively affordable interest rate
3. Salary advance
This is a loan product for salaried customers. It is meant to meet emergencies.
Features
- 50% of previous monthly salary advance
- Full recovery at the end of the month
- Provided to customers whose salaries are channeled through the sacco
- Customers are able to meet emergencies like hospital bills, school fees, among others
- Relatively cheap and convenient source of fund to meet emergencies
4. Jiinue rafiki loan
This is a micro-credit loan that targets small scale business people in urban centers with the ability to pay on a daily basis
Features
- Repayment is on daily basis
- Repairment period of 30-60 days
- Group loan of 10 people
- Urban centered loan
- 1 month training before giving loan
- Low interest loan
- Ascending loan i.e group members keep on graduating for larger and larger amounts on successful payments
- Helps small businesses to grow
- Very short processing period
